Your Working Hands
"I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your works; I muse on the works of your hands" (Ps 143:5)
These last nine years, God has not lightened the burden He placed in my heart in praying for REVIVAL. An extraordinary visitation of Him and the pouring of His Spirit among His people. The kind of His visitations that ignited Great revivals in the distant past.
How can we stop longing when in the generations of our fathers and fathers’ fathers we come to know,by reading their accounts, of God’s great visitations.The General Awakenings of 1830’s, The Second Great Awakening of 1870’s, The First Great Awakening of 1727’s and the 1904 Revival ,all ,show forth the might of our God and the result to mankind affected by that power.
I long for the same power of God for our generation and times.Not for our own sake but for the glory of God. That the fear of the Lord may be restored in the hearts of His people and nations bow their heads and bend their knees in praise of Him.
He who can provide manna from heaven can adequately provide for our own needs today. He who can part the sea so that His people can cross over the land of promise,away from land of bondage, can certainly part the crises we’re having now and the find relief on His side of kindness. He who bring sight to the blind and lame to walk again can illumine us from the darkness we are in and walk us out of that misery and despair. He is lord of our yesterdays and Lord of our today. It’s one and the same for Him. He is the same yesterday, today and forever more.
Not only for these reasons but more, that I muse upon His works. God fills the time and distances. He was there and here with us now and all the spaces in between.Still,He’s got the whole world in His hands.
If in the distant past GOD can, certainly He can do the same TODAY. That’s why I’m not giving up praying for REVIVAL in our times
