Last Sunday, people were nominated to our church ministry leadership.  The Nominating Com. who will do the screening work will talk with these nominees to come up with a final list for ministry leadership for a vote THIS COMING SUNDAY (nov. 18).

Your notebook is meant to help you retain important lessons in life that you heard from attending Sunday Classes and Services.  By writing those valuable thoughts, you’re reminding yourself of the great affection of God towards you and the world.  Some helpful tips to watch out for are the following:

• meaning of scriptural words
• problems identified/solved/overcame
• meaning of key concepts or ideas
• facts and figures quoted
• personal application (what does this message say to me? church? family?
• conclusion

The sermon outline is merely a skeleton.  They are not good to look at unless they have flesh on it.  Explanations, illustrations and applications are the flesh.  Write in a away that will easily come back to you when you go over with them again.  You’re doing your soul a favor.

We’re glad to remind everyone about the coming Prayer Rally again this month.  Come with expectant hearts.  God is doing something in our midst that we cannot fully comprehend yet.  Our hearts experienced a warmness and openness last Prayer Rally which we believe is preparing us for something.  This may sound strange but it is, so let us gather together and let us not miss what is in store for us by our mighty God.
