Special Thanks
Firstly, all the praise is given to our God, who deserves all glory, for His majesty, His grace, and the love that He has shown through the birth of His son, Jesus. You are KIng, and we all bow down.
We acknowledge the SJBCI choir, having given up their Sunday and Saturday afternoons for arduous practices. Despite the musical challenges and sometimes overwhelming schedule, they’ve maintained their commitment, put their hearts in their voices, and tonight now stand as vessels of God’s love, excited to pour out all that they’ve been wanting to share for the last four months. Enjoy tonight, choir. Glory in the highest, indeed!!
We want to acknowledge the multiple parts of the church body that took gigantic measures to ensure that this event would be of joyous occasion. From the Choir, to the Sound Techs, Decorations, Food Committee, and the entire SJBCI Family, all were involved, unified to serve for tonight’s celebration. Every event, you offer your labor. God bless you for your continued love and dedication.
We also acknowledge our Speaker, Daughter Churches, Guest Churches, One Hope In Christ Choir, and Visitors. Your participation and presence is an additional blessing, fueling the joy of fellowship. We hope you were blessed, and tonight may add a skip to your step, rejoicing over the birth of Jesus, the Hope of the world.

SJBCI Choir Bios:
Throughout the year, esp. as cantata season rolls around, we never get the chance to introduce everyone to the individual members of the choir, but as a ‘thank you,’ we decided to let you have a glimpse of who they are and their thoughts for this Christmas cantata piece.
You are all appreciated (even those faithful choir members who weren’t able to join us this season), for your hard work. It may not be the easiest task to keep up with my demands, but I am extremely blessed with your patience, determination and passion to glorify God through singing. Thank you, choir, to exponential degree.
-Marchesa
Perze Ababa IV
Tenor
A husband and father- saved by grace.
My favorite song is “All Bow Down.” Christmas has become too commercial. Nobody even knows if Jesus was born around this time. This song reminds me of what Christmas is really about- that Jesus lived, died, rose, and He is coming back. When that time comes, every knee will bow down and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.
Rachelle Arcano
Soprano
Simple, sweet, and unique (as per Wendell).
My favorite song is “Glory in the Highest.” It’s a simple song but it says pretty much about God. He alone deserves to be praised! He alone is GOD!
Imelda A. Benipayo
Soprano
Warm Greetings! My name is Imelda A. Benipayo. I am a Born Again Christian. I sing soprano. Because of my height, I usually stand at the left end of the choir group. The LOVE of GOD is the highest characteristic of God, God’s love is more than kindness. He loves you more than you can imagine, and He demonstrated that love when He sent His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sin. No matter what color skin you have, whether old or young, God loves you because He made you with a purpose.
Love is Born, the reason behind the celebration. JESUS is the song I want to sing. He is Powerful and He shines, I don’t want to move on away from Him. “Through the Door” is my favorite piece in this concert. Jesus has become the door, the way we can have fellowship with Him, and for that I am grateful. Thank You, Lord. Thank You.
Ramon T. Cabanban, Jr.
Bass
I am a senior citizen and I love to sing hymns, gospel songs & watch tele-evangelist preach the holy Word.
My favorite song in this cantata is “Because Of Your Tender Mercy.” I am a sinner and it’s only by Christ’s love, grace and mercy that I am still alive.
Clifford Carino
Bass
A devoted husband to Johann, father to Miggy, who prays for the youth and P&W team of this church, for it’s where I have found refuge in Christ here in these ministries. I believe it is where the Lord will continue to move on and conquer lands we have been promised to conquer.
“Sing the Wonders of His Love” is the most challenging, yet in order to experience it, you must also be surrendering.
Jaspher Cosico
Bass
Born June 28, 1988. Student in Temple University Biology Student. Son of Dan and Angie Cosico, and brother of Philip Cosico. Lifetime verse: 1 Thes. 5:16-20.
“Hallelujah, A Savior Is Born Medley” is my favorite song because it’s such a familiar story, but every time I hear it, I’m simply overwhelmed with wonder. I’m overwhelmed with praise.
Don de Guzman
Bass
Easy. Outgoing. Loves to travel. Open minded.
My favorite song is “Through the Door” because an open door means a lot of possibilities.
Garilyn de Guzman
Alto
Basically, quiet and simple. Believes in the golden rule- “do unto others what you want others to do unto you!”
My favorite song is “You came.” Without Him, I am lost. Without Him, I am nothing.
Ted Eleazar
Bass
“Handsome” – my wife says so.
Drusilla B. Espalto
Soprano
Simple, practical with a big heart.
“Hope of the World” has a message of grace and hope that gives me joy and peace. It reminds us of the love God showed us in giving His son, Jesus Christ, to save us from our sins, and whose birth we celebrate this season. He is the hope of the world.
Ruth Fabila
Soprano
I am a grandmother of five, and they make me younger and stronger.
My favorite song is “Because of Your Tender Mercy.” I always worry about my children’s future, but I have learned to trust them to God’s tender mercy, that He will be with us if we rest and trust in Him.
Genesis Guevarra
Soprano
Twenty-three years old, recent college graduate, and Pastor Ding’s twin. I’ve been a member of the SJBCI choir for ten years now.
“Glory In the Highest,” out of all the songs in the cantata, spoke to me the most. I’ve like it since Chris Tomlin sang it originally. Sometimes we put something else higher than our God but this song is a reminder that it all comes down to Him and that no one else could ever compare to Him.
Hannah Jardinico
Soprano
Eighteen years old, high school graduate, been a member of the SJBCI choir for as long as I can remember.
“You Came” is my favorite song because everyone is entitled to one thing, and that’s hell. But God’s love for the world is so great that he sent his son to die for everyone. He couldn’t stay away from saving us.
Wendell Jiao
Tenor
I am a senior at Rowan University. I study electrical and computer engineering. To me, Christ is not just a book or some imaginative force. He is a real person. In Mark 7, Christ took a deaf and mute aside from the crowd to speak words of healing to Him. It is in my prayer that every person would seek to have an encounter with Jesus Christ. To God be the glory.
“You Came” is a personal song for me, and each time I hear it, it reminds me of the actual occurrence of our Messiah.
Kayla Lakos
Soprano
Eleven years old. Starting a new relationship with God.
My favorite song in the concert is “Through the Door.” I feel that it represents Jesus coming down and having a relationship with us, being there with us, and guiding us.
Ligaya Ordonez
Alto
I just love to sing to the Lord, even including during practices.
“Sing the Wonders of His Love” is my favorite song. We can claim His unmerited favor of setting our souls free by His unwavering love. Praising and singing about this love is worshipping Him, becoming a witness to the world about our salvation, through our Redeemer Lord and King.
Jeneath Maceda Phillips
Alto
I’m simple and always looking for the brighter side of life.
My favorite song is “You Came.” It tells about the love and the humbleness of Jesus Christ.
Novie Maila B. Quiachon
Alto
Sweet and friendly, who also has a big heart for singing, especially in the choir.
“A Savior is Born Medley ( Hallelujah, a Savior is Born/ Silent Night/ O Holy Night! )”- the wonderfully touching lyrics of the song, always manage to move me greatly whenever I sing it. It not only reflects the true meaning and joy of Christmas, but its sweet and tender lyrics fill me with a quiet peace.
Tirso L Quiachon, II
Bass
Hardworking, caring and generous person, and would do anything for anybody else, if it’s within my means.
“Jesus Saves” is a jubilant declaration of the immense joy that comes with knowing we have been saved by Jesus. He saves me with love so great it doesn’t even make sense to us mortals. The song captures it, He loves us that much!
Leila Rabanillo
Soprano
I’ve learned that there’s only two ways we can go in this life when we face challenges; either we quit and blame everyone for what we are going through, or use that pain to become a better person. God did not intend those circumstances to push us away from Him, instead He is preparing us for a great purpose in life.
My favorite song is “You Came.” Jesus fulfilled His great purpose, to save us all sinners. I am humbled by His love.
Jessica Rivera
Soprano
Hi, my name is Jess and I’m 14 years young. I was born March 30, 1996 and I’m in love with my awesome and amazing youth group. Oh yeah, I love Pocky (food) and Hello Kitty! Just recently, I joined choir this past summer and this is my first time in the cantata!
My favorite song is “Jesus Saves.” The title alone means a lot, how Jesus is always there for you no matter what, no matter how much you have sinned, but as long as you are willing to change your ways and accept His love for you. Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins. God didn’t have to send His Son to die for us, that just shows how much Jesus loves us.
Emmanuel Sabado
Tenor
I’m eighteen, and a student at Rutgers University. I love playing and singing worship music.
“Through the Door (And This is Glory)” shows that God’s grace and love is much greater than our sin, and despite how much greater He is, He continues to keep the door open wide for us. We really do owe Him all the glory and praise.
Thea Sinfuego
Soprano
I began choir when I came to SJBCI. Give me sweets and balloons on December 18. I’m fourteen, a sophomore at LHS. I’m majoring in being great, social networking and texting. I love my YOUTH GROUP! I love photography and theatre arts.
My favorite song is “Through the Door” because if you realize the lyrics, it has a very wonderful meaning- that God’s grace is greater than our sins. His mercy is wider than wide. His love is deeper than deep! God gave His only Son, Jesus Christ to pay for our sins. That’s true love.
Deborah Talampas
Alto
I’m just a poor wayfaring stranger, traveling through this world of my Jesus & Savior.
My favorite song is “A Savior is Born Medley”- a complete story of the birth of Jesus.
Dorothy Talampas
Alto
I’m 22. I’m done with school, and I miss it but have no pans of going back. I love sour skittles
. I go shopping when I’m sad. Anything simple and new interests me. I enjoy traveling. I like being around kids. I love jazz, bossa nova, and classical music. I met Christ at surprisingly early at age seven, but I realized spiritual maturity definitely doesn’t come with how young or old you met Christ. I have to make an effort to grow, to deny myself and follow Him everyday. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it.
“You Came” personally spoke to me…how He just keeps on saving us, every time we stumble or drift away. And it’s humbling and comforting to know that
. “You heard, You saw, You knew, and You felt it all. You wept when You watched us fall, and You could not stay away. And You came” – an extravagant love, indeed.
Raytsur R. Talampas
Tenor
I care too much about a lot of things…that it would/will turn or will be more like worries
. I am a jolly, funny, energetic dude but at the same time, I’m a shy guy and is scared to mess up and feel embarrassed in front of people..XD … hmmm…I love to play sports except sports that have something to do with swimming (because I don’t know how to swim). I love to play computer games. I used to love to read books (I’m working on it/this to be “revived” ? XD). And last, but not least, I love God.
“Sing the Wonders of His Love” has a great message. It’s about God being with us…that all will be well because of Him.
Rudy Talampas
Bass
Short, brown & handsome, according to my mom. And this is true.
**Seriously…likes music, likes to sing in the choir, likes reading God’s Word.
“How Great Thou Art” is my favorite song, because He provided me a beautiful wife!
**Seriously…my favorite song in this piece is ”Jesus Saves,” because my salvation is by His grace alone.
Ismael T. Valdez
Tenor
God fearing and lover of God. Believe on the Word of God, the Scripture, as God’s love letter and His complete instruction for us on how to be saved and to live a godly life. Love to serve the Lord and consider it a privilege to be able to be used by Him.
"Jesus Saves" is a song explaining the reason why Jesus came in the flesh, to be the Savior of mankind. The angel said "thou shall call His name JESUS for He shall save His people from their sins". God gave the greatest gift of all, Jesus. He gave and we should receive. The Scripture states " to all who receive Him, to those who believe on His name, He gave the right to become children of God". Become a child of God by receiving Jesus for "JESUS SAVES".
Chelsea Joy Zackey
Soprano
My first breath of life in this world on June 8, 1997. My love for singing has landed me into my 2nd performance in a Christmas Cantata. I am also known as the youngest member of the SJBCI Choir. I am a unique little tool that is eager to be used in service for the Lord.
I refer to “Hope of the World” as my favorite song. Not only do I greatly adore the mysterious feel (my favorite genre), but I like the message- we would have no hope if it wasn’t for the loving grace of Jesus Christ.
Marchesa Fabila Ababa
Director
Stay at home mom, for the time being, to two beautiful yet sassy girls , Emmanuelle (5) and Zienne (1). Wife to Perze, the best looking guy you’ll see tonight. Nerd at heart. Loves to serve. Although in my youth, I never planned on leading a choir, God had other plans, and I’m extremely grateful for the joy that comes with it. When it all comes together, I can’t contain how happy I am. Giving God the praise is in our being. We were created for it.
My favorite song tonight is “Glory In the Highest.” Can you imagine all His children singing this? I mean, we only have almost 50 people tonight singing this song. Imagine a great number of of voices singing “glory in the highest to You Lord!” Imagine when “All the earth will sing Your praise, the moon and stars, the sun and rain. Every nation will proclaim that You are God and You will reign.” It is powerful and humbling! I’m in! If you’ve never experienced this, sign ups start tonight.
Merry Christmas!
