Ministries

SJBCI is comprised of four main ministries. Please click on the active links in the navigation bar above for more information and announcements regarding the desired ministry.

We encourage our members to join a ministry, so if you are a member of SJBCI and are interested in serving in a specific area, please feel free to get more information and then contact the chairperson of that ministry.

Word: The ministry of Word feeds and instructs the people of God through Sunday School, discipleship training, seminars, and preaching.

Worship: The Ministry of Worship leads in the exaltation and praise of Jesus, bringing us to the very heart of worship.

Witness: The Ministry of Witness takes the lead in the verbal presentation and proclamation of Jesus Christ. They go on house to house visitations, hospital visitations, tracts distribution, feeding the homeless, ministering to prisoners and to seamen.

Work: The Ministry of Work brings the church to the fellowship with other churches thereby strengthening the bond between and among the brethren in the faith. The Baptist Men, WMU and Youth sectors initiate and host fellowship activities, stirring the hearts of churches to love the scripture more.

Women’s Missionary Union

Young Believers: Youth Group comprised of High School and College students. They meet every Sunday afternoon at 1pm. More info contact Rogie (rog653@yahoo.com) or Marchesa (marchesa.ababa@sjbci.org).

SJBCI Anniversary: Planned by rotating committees. Held usually every second Saturday of October. This year, we’re celebrating our 19th anniversary of God’s faithfulness to our church.
