You’re invited to our annual Easter Cantata presented by our SJBCI Choir.  Our piece this year is by Richard Kingsmore, entitled “My Savior, My God.”

“Nearly everyone knows the story of Jesus. We know Him as a baby, a carpenter, a miracle worker, a teacher and prophet, but until we truly comprehend what His death and resurrection mean to us personally, we cannot sincerely call Him Savior and God. Those words are not just titles, but have eternal impact and meaning. Beautifully arranged by Richard Kingsmore, this 45-minute musical not only tells the story of Jesus’ final hours on this earth, but in the process, looks at three people who knew Him in an earthly way before His crucifixion and resurrection, and afterward, came to understand the eternal truth of Jesus Christ that changed their lives for eternity. Featuring powerful songs, moving narration, and optional drama, this musical will help your congregation to see beyond the “story” of Jesus to the personal reality of what His death and resurrection mean to us.”

Having already had our first successful TLW retreat back in 2005, we’re excited with the endeavor to extend the invitation, with the collaboration of six+ churches in the surrounding states, to our youth.

Description:

Peer pressure can be a powerful force. TLW was created a way to help motivate students to live a life of purity, instead of giving in. That’s how True Love Waits began, and already more than a million young people have signed TLW covenant cards. By doing so, they’re promising to remain sexually abstinent until marriage … to wait for their true love.

Now there’s a whole new generation of teens and tweens that are, or will soon be, facing the same pressures and tough, personal decisions. TLW is a simple resource that explains the biblical call to sexual purity and introduces the TLW Pledge.

If you are interested in enrolling your youth, or if you’re in middle school- college, interested in joining this retreat, you are more than welcome to register.  Space is limited so be sure to contact a local representative to secure a spot.

BASIC Worship:
We encourage everyone to join us for a worship night this coming Saturday!  It’s an exciting project to bring guests and as a church family, come together every month for a night of praise and worship and the sharing of God’s Word.  Everyone is invited.

BASIC (Brothers and Sisters In Christ)

Simple vision. A casual night of worship and the Word, once a month. The worship team will be leading the whole night, songs to glorify and to shout joy. Then sharing of the Word.

This is every last Saturday of the month. It’s completely simple, completely casual. If you wish, bring friends, but most of all, bring a heart of praise.
