2) Choir: There was no practice today, but will resume next Sunday as we will start practicing for Sunday’s choir numbers this summer. Thank you again, choir, for all the hard work you always commit to each cantata! Know that your sacrifice is a blessing, ministering to the body.

Also, thank you to those who took time out of their busy Easter morning after the early Sonrise Service to sing and minister to the senior citizens in the Lakeland SC home.

3) Budget Meeting: budget meeting for entire congregation next Sunday as part of the 1st quarter financial report given to us by the Board of Trustees.

4) Young Pro’s Monthly Bible Study on “Crazy Love” scheduled for April 28, Saturday at the Bautro’s. Going strong!

5) Thank you to those who help out w/ Sis. Ligaya for the Junior service and nursery downstairs during worship service. We’d still love new volunteers.

April 8 Easter Sunday
Concert following our Easter Sonrise Service 6am

Invite your friends and family, coworkers…and help us fill the seats

1. This whole week, ATB (alto, tenor, bass) PLEASE go over the last portion of the song over and over again from “crown Him with many crowns, to get your parts on point, as that will be the hardest part of the song.

2. Sopranos, practice the beginning to middle since you will not have the melody. Please practice it in such a way that your vocal area will have some sort of muscle memory of where to place the notes in the middle registry. 

3. SATURDAY PRACTICES resume. This Saturday at 4pm. All parts.

4. If someone has the #4 book, please bring it to practice. Please bring all books to practice to fully maximize note learning.

5. Please go through the songs with the music and start writing down notes (melody, harmony, unison, repeat, up progressions, downs, cuts, sustains, etc.)

SJBCI Annual Family Retreat 2012
July 22-24 @ DoubleTree Hotel Willow Valley, Lancaster PA

Everyone is invited to come to our annual Family Retreat, a time of great refreshing in centering our families, our relationships, ourselves back to the Sustainer of our lives, Jesus Christ, Redemeer of our families. Every year has been a resounding challenge, humbling and honest to introspectively look into our relationships within the family and our ultimate relationship with Christ Himself. This retreat serves as a great reminder in fulfilling the roles God has given us within the family, and has even been a time of healing and recommitment.  

Every individual will attend their respective class according to age, and you will find that aside from workshops, there are a multitude of activities within Willow Valley that will suit your interests during your stay.  There will also be time for fellowship to strengthen the relational bonds within the church body through sportsmanship and downtime.

Greetings!  We are inviting you to join us as we celebrate the month of love.  This event is sponsored by the Ladies Ministry (Women Missionary Unit), which remains the most supportive of all church ministries.  Last year, we raised $8,700 in order to send our Praise Team to attend a music conference in Buffalo, New York.  They came back bringing not only an enhancement in their music skills, but they also became strong leaders.  We also helped in funding Pastor Ding Guevarra’s revival mission to the Philippines.  We also helped in supporting the replacement of our worn-out church furnace, and some of our ongoing church improvement projects.

This year, we have set 2 goals:

1.  To help support our family retreat this coming July.
2. To support our renovation of the nursery, youth room, and kitchen.

There are big projects ahead of us, but with your support and God on our side, we are optimistic that we can attain our goals.

The Valentine banquet is a Hollywood-themed event, and you may don any movie character of your choice.  There will be hors d’oeuvres, a five-course meal buffet, and an ice cream bar.  For entertainment, there will be music, games, and dancing.  Finally, our event will feature an honored speaker.

We hope that you will support us in this wonderful cause.

You’re invited to our annual Valentine’s Dinner at Paris Caterers Feb.10, where we will be celebrating the month of love.  The event consists of a full dinner, games, music, and dancing!  The night also features a guest speaker to enlighten our hearts to recommit to love. Every year, the element of joy through this fellowship grows  increasingly, so we encourage our members, families to come and also invite their family and friends to join in the celebration.

Spearheaded by the WMU of SJBCI, this event also serves as a fundraiser for many of the projects this year, including the church nursery, youth room, kitchen, and family camp.  Last year, their efforts have given way for our praise team to join CMS2011 which has been an enormous blessing.  This year, the needs continue in different forms, so they continue to ask for support.  What a great way to be blessed from this Valentine’s evening, while also being a great blessing!
